As a firm we have invested considerable resources into our IT systems. We have a strong interest in IT and were amoung the first Solicitors to take laptops into court in the days when screens were minute and battery life was no more than a couple of hours!

At one stage, a cost effective IT solution for processing criminal law bills was developed and made available to the Profession at a modest cost. It proved to be popular and reliable. We were also involved in lecturing on the benefits of voice recognition and have been consulted by members of the Judiciary in that regard

Now, we work in what we believe to be a unique way, encompassing a synergy of ready made applications (some of them freely available) together with our own bespoke Case and Practice Management software called “Casework” which has been developed for us by our in house IT Manager. Casework was short listed for the prestigious Law Society “Best Use of IT” award

Casework is central to our method of work and it has not been made available commercially. Behind Casework there is a very significant network and server infrastructure that allows us to operate between the offices and other remote locations in a resiliant and secure manner, including state of the art security, redundancy and off-site backup.

We are firmly convinced that only through adapting work practices, responding to change, analysing efficiency will firms survive and prosper in the modern legal market place.

We are also equally convinced that our work model fits this criteria.
